“ZULU” is a 35.48 m Motor Yacht, built in Brazil by Inace and delivered in 2009. She is one of 2 Explorer 100 models.
Her top speed is 11.8 kn and she boasts a maximum range of 2500.0 nm when navigating at cruising speed, with power coming from two Caterpillar diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 staterooms, with 5 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 229.0 GT and a 7.2 m beam.
She was designed by Michael Kirschstein, who also designed the interior. Michael Kirschstein has designed 12 yachts and designed the interior of 17 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.
The naval architecture was developed by Jon Overing (10 other superyachts architected) and Inace (20 other superyachts architected) – she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.
“ZULU” is in the top 30% by LOA in the world. She is one of 1173 motor yachts in the 35-40m size range.
Vessel Walkthrough
MAIN DECK
This versatile deck is comprised of a spacious aft deck, lounge, dining room, galley, day head and full-beam master stateroom. The staircase forward leads down to the 4 guest staterooms and up to the bridge and sky lounge.
AFT DECK
There is a lovely, open aft deck with a marble table accommodating 8 guests. An exterior wet bar, ice maker and fridge make service seamless and provide a relaxing area for guests to help themselves to refreshments. Three steps go down to the large swim platform, a perfect for jumping off point to the water for water sports, tender access or even sunbathing close to the water with sun beds and umbrellas. At the end of the swim platform is a large transformer stair case for boarding at ports or descending into the water when at anchor. It can lift jet skis and tenders up to 1,200 kg.
SALOON / DINING
Stepping in from the aft deck you enter a large saloon with 6 nearly full-height picture windows. To port and aft there are sofas in front of a large coffee table surrounded by 4 club chairs. At the forward end there is a dining table with seating for 8 and storage cabinets for china, etc.
GALLEY
Set to the port side adjacent to the dining room the galley has large windows, a pantry and a huge amount of operational space. This galley, completely redone in 2016 and all new, allows the crew to look after a large charter party with ease.
MASTER CABIN
There is a closet to starboard aft, a centreline king-size bed facing aft and a flat- screen TV behind the aft bulkhead. To port there are hanging cupboards and a desk. To starboard forward there is a bathroom, with marble finish throughout, which includes a Jacuzzi bath, bidet, WC. The stateroom is finished with white wall panels, carpeted floors and cream fabric ceiling panels.
BRIDGE DECK
This deck is comprised of the Bridge, a small bar, sky lounge, a projector and screen and a huge outdoor lounge deck accessed either via the sky lounge through full- beam concertina doors or from the
main deck aft.
BRIDGE
Access through the starboard side leads to a chart table forward and a central forward-facing settee and table. Forward of this is a single helm resting bar, and the bridge controls. There are watertight doors port and starboard and five forward- facing vertical windscreens all equipped with wipers.
SKY LOUNGE
Oversized windows to port and starboard allow for abundant daylight and panoramic views. There is a corner settee and coffee table for comfortable viewing of the large pop-up TV. A bar forward completes the relaxed ambience of the room. Large concertina doors open full beam to a huge covered dining deck.
OUTSIDE DINING
This wonderfully versatile deck, covered or open to the sun, can be used for formal or relaxed dining for up to 18 guests. As well, it serves as a sun terrace for lounging or a social area for sun downers and mingling. There is a marble-topped table, and the electric grill is ideal for guests or the chef to cook up their catches of the day. The vast deck space makes this one of the most enjoyable areas of the vessel. There is access up to sun deck and down to main deck aft.
SUN DECK
The sun deck has a Jacuzzi forward surrounded by teak and sun pads. There is a chest freezer and large storage underneath and all around. The refrigerator, icemaker, sink and wet bar to starboard and the sun pads aft make this a very comfortable area to enjoy the sun, the view and the breeze at anchor or underway.
LOWER DECK
The lower deck can accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 kids comfortably in 1 VIP, 1 double, 1 twin with Pullman and one kid’s cabin
VIP CABIN
Located to port and aft this cabin has huge floor space, a king-size bed, wardrobe, flat-screen TV and a large marble en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, shower, bidet and WC. The room is finished with cream fabric ceiling panels, white panelled walls whilst the carpet is a cream-coloured wool-silk blend.
DOUBLE GUEST CABIN
To starboard amidships, there is a queen-bed cabin. White panelled walls incorporate fitted wardrobes, lockers and AV system. It has a large en-suite bathroom with a showers, sinks and toilet area.
TWIN GUEST CABIN
Similar in style to the double cabin, this cabin has twin berths instead of a double and a Pullman bunk with an en-suite bathroom.
KIDS CABIN
This is a cosy en-suite cabin with bunk beds, ideal for kids.
